This is a survey course that provides the scientific fundamentals of the current understanding of nutrition.

Nutrition 331 surveys the basic principles of human nutrition and the relationships between nutrition and chronic diseases. There is now a large body of evidence demonstrating that diet has a major impact on health. In this course, we examine all aspects of this subject.

Nutrition 405: Nutrition in Health and Disease is designed to introduce you to the methods used in carrying out nutrition research, the role of diet in the causation of diseases (particularly chronic diseases related to lifestyle), life cycle nutrition, exercise nutrition, and the critical evaluation of nutrition information.
